By installing Commitmentor or creating an account, you’re agreeing to the items below.
What Commitmentor does
It intercepts websites you’ve told it to intercept, shows you the reason you wrote, and — if you continue — charges the amount you specified. Nothing else, nothing more.
18+ only
You must be 18 or older to use Commitmentor. You confirm this at signup. The reasons are spelled out in the privacy page: our payments processor requires it, and committing real money on your own habits is an adult choice. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we’ll close it and delete the data.
What you’re responsible for
Setting rules that reflect your actual intent. Keeping a payment method on file that you can afford to be charged on. Reviewing your slip log periodically. Not relying on Commitmentor as a substitute for qualified care if you’re in a serious spot — it’s a friction tool, not a therapist.
If you name a witness
The witness field is a self-binding cue: youread the name at the intercept moment. We never email, notify, or contact the witness. We store only their name — not an email, not a phone number.
You’re responsible for the relationship and the disclosure. Don’t write down a name without making sure the person knows — or that you’d be comfortable if they found out. We don’t verify this, but you’re agreeing to it here.
Charges & refunds
Slips (consequence charges): when you choose to continue past an intercept, the amount you set for that contract is charged via Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle holds your payment details; we never see or store card numbers. A slip charge pays for an action performed and consumed at the exact moment you press “continue anyway.” You consent to that immediate performance at that moment, and — as with any digital content delivered and consumed at once — the charge is non-refundableonce incurred. That’s the point: a consequence you could undo isn’t a consequence. You can edit, pause, or delete a contract before the next intercept fires; you cannot undo a slip you have already chosen to take. For billing questions, write to [email protected].
Pro subscription: the Pro plan (monthly or annual) is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee— if you’re not satisfied, write to [email protected] or reply to your Paddle receipt within 30 days of payment for a full refund. Cancel any time from settings; we’ll prorate the unused portion of the current period if you ask. The 30-day guarantee covers the subscription itself — it does not reverse individual slip charges, which are consumed when taken (above).
Founders’ price:the first 500 Pro or Lifetime accounts keep their price for life. We won’t raise it on you.
Accounts
You’re responsible for the activity on your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access; we’ll help you secure it.
Things we can do
We can terminate accounts that abuse the service — for example, using it to harass other people, or attempting to game the charging system. We’ll tell you why if it happens.
We can update these terms. If anything material changes, we’ll email you. You can close your account if you don’t agree.
Things we won’t do
Sell you to a third party we haven’t told you about. Add dark patterns to keep you subscribed. Charge you for something you didn’t consent to. Hide a fee in a setting page.
Disclaimer
Commitmentor is provided “as is.” We do our best, but software occasionally breaks. To the extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages. If a charge goes through that shouldn’t have, write to us — we’ll fix it.
Operator & governing law
Commitmentor is operated by Or Iscovici(sole proprietor), based in Israel. These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and disputes go to Israeli courts. We’ll always try to resolve things by email first.
Updates
7 June 2026.Rewrote the charges section to separate the two charge types: the Pro subscription now carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, while slip charges are consumed at the moment you continue and are non-refundable once taken — the consequence is the point. Named the operator (Or Iscovici, sole proprietor, Israel) in the governing-law section.
20 May 2026. Aligned with the rewritten privacy page: added the 18+ minimum clause; rewrote the witness section to reflect that we never contact the witness; corrected the payments section to name Paddle as Merchant of Record.
17 May 2026.Added a clause covering the witness feature; clarified annual subscription proration; added Lifetime tier to the founders’-price provision. (Witness wording superseded by the 20 May rewrite.)
16 May 2026. Initial publication alongside the public beta.
